S690QL sheets and plates are quenched, high-strength, and tempered structural steels with superior toughness and weldability. They have a composition with carbon (≤0.20%), manganese (≤1.70%), silicon (≤0.80%), phosphorus (≤0.025%), sulfur (≤0.015%), chromium (≤1.50%), molybdenum (≤0.70%), nickel (≤2.00%), and vanadium (≤0.12%). They possess a minimum of 690 MPa yield strength and tensile strength of 770–940 MPa to provide excellent bearing capacity. S690QL shows excellent impact properties, high fatigue life, and excellent formability and is very suitable for usage in heavy-duty machinery, bridge, crane, and structural products demanding lightweight strong material.
